Who We Are
The Post-Exit Entrepreneurs Retreat (PEER) is an initiative to help successful entrepreneurs maximise the post-exit stages from a personal, professional, and financial perspective. PEER was conceptualized within the entrepreneurial community at INSEAD – the business school with the most European unicorns. This unique INSEAD workshop experience is delivered by professionals with deep expertise in the practice and research on business & finance as well as philanthropy & impact.
As a number of the founding champions of PEER have themselves gone through the exit process, they realized that no such initiatives free of vested interests exist. Thus, PEER was created by entrepreneurs to support other entrepreneurs going through a life-changing liquidity event, such that they may re-invent themselves for their next phase.
We believe entrepreneurs are a very special and powerful breed that expand their future with an evolving sense of purpose towards themselves and their community, particularly after a successful exit. Our objective is to help them uncover and grapple with key foundational questions which often arise after a liquidity event.
The Post-Exit Entrepreneurs Retreat workshops are organised under the umbrella of the Rudolf and Valeria Maag INSEAD Centre for Entrepreneurship.
“After recently selling my company to an energy multinational listed on Euronext (CAC 40), I found myself wondering where to go from here, looking for answers to patrimonial, professional and personal questions ranging from estate planning, investing, and philanthropy to finding a new ‘sense of purpose’. I felt a need of a suitable peer community during this post-exit journey. Hence, together with INSEAD and a number of teammates, we decided to create the Post-Exit Entrepreneurs Retreat or PEER.”
